There is something about snow that feels so silent and still, to me. We don’t get a lot of snow on the Sunshine Coast, but the last two days it has been falling fairly constantly.
I have found myself spending a lot of time just staring out the window, watching the flakes slowly wind their way down to the ground. There is something about snowflakes falling that is mesmerizing and magical! When you stop to think that each, tiny snowflake is different from all the other flakes that are falling, it’s really cause to stop and be in awe of the Universe.
Try using the snow as part of your meditation. Open yourself to the stillness that snow brings, embrace the slowing down, and see if you can be present, exactly where you are. Whether you’re out and about, catching snowflakes on your tongue; taking a stroll through a snowy forest; or, staying warm and dry and watching the flakes fall from your window…. be wholly present in the moment. Breathe steadily and deeply. Appreciate the beauty and wonder of the world around you.
Drive safe, breathe deeply, and enjoy the cozy weather!
